Terry Fox Run

Our school will be participating in the Terry Fox Run this week. AM students will join the whole school for the Terry Fox Run. PM students will join the other PM Kindergarten classes on Thursday afternoon to participate. 

Toonies for Terry
On Thursday and Friday our class will be collecting toonies to support the Terry Fox Foundation for Cancer Research. If you are able to support this charity please send the toonie with your child and it will be collected. 

Orange Shirt Day
On Thursday for the PM class and on Friday for the AM class we are encouraging students to wear orange shirts in order to recognize Orange Shirt Day. We will be emphasizing the importance of belonging and recognizing that every single person in our class and school are important. Follow the link for more information. Orange Shirt Day. org



Shapes 
In class we have been learning about shapes. We have looked at different types of lines and how they help form the letters and numbers. Students are learning how to make shapes with different materials. Our class has also  been searching for shapes in our classroom and the world around us. If you want to play along, try and find different shapes in your home and around your community. You would be surprised... shapes are everywhere!!
