We have been learning that there are many areas in our lives where we sort. Take for instance our closets and drawers. We put socks together with other socks and even sort them into matching pairs... some of the time. We usually put our pants with other pants, shirts with other shirts, and in our kitchen our dishes and utensils get sorted with other similar objects. In class we have been exploring various ways to sort. We have learned that you can sort by colour, shape, size or attribute. We will continue to find various sorting rules that we can apply to groups to show different ways to sort. Here are some examples of our sorting. Maybe you can guess how the students are sorting in each picture.
