Good Afternoon,
In case you did not know, we have a class full of readers. Readers look at pictures to tell a story, connect letter/word sounds to pictures to tell a story, sound out words or recognize words to tell a story. In class we have been learning how to read our classmates names. As we encourage our young readers, we want to create a poster/wall of words our students can read. If there are words that your child can read at home (environmental print) we would love for them to cut them out, or write them down and bring them into class to share with their friends and to put on our word poster/wall.
Look at the photo's below for some examples. It can include logos, or pictures as that is part of reading.
We will photograph the progress over the next few weeks on the blog.
