This week, we have been working hard on our caterpillars by counting and writing out different foods we are feeding our hungry caterpillars. We can now read and share our own caterpillar stories!
On Wednesday, our caterpillars turned into big beautiful butterflies. We learned how to draw and paint Eric Carle inspired butterflies. In the afternoon, a magician named Steve Harmer came in to perform a special show about friendship. We got to see some amazing magic tricks and learned about how to make friends! Some of us even got picked to be a volunteer and got a special magic wand (that can magically write and erase things). The students were mesmerized by some Steve Harmer's magic tricks... and maybe a teacher or two too.
It was also Ms. Chen's last day of teaching. The students celebrated with Ms. Chen as she completed her practicum. Over this week the students have been making thank you letters to put in a going away/ thank you gift for MS. Chen. On Thursday afternoon these were given to her as part of a memories photo album.
