Our kindergarten classes have been enjoying some of the beautiful weather that May has brought. We brought out the parachute for some fun in the sun, and have been drawing with chalk on our compound. Students have been reflecting on their visit to the Calgary Zoo in their visual journals. We have also been starting measurement in math. So far we've compared our height and are beginning to measure the length of classroom objects using blocks.
We also have new friends in our class: 60 baby caterpillars. Students are learning how to care for them and will be observing their growth and changes over the next few weeks.
