SWIMMING: Thank you to all the parents who volunteered their time to help at the pool. It was great to have you all involved whether helping out or just watching. I hope you were as proud as I was to see all of the students grow over the 6 days of lessons.
POPCORN DAY: Thursday June 21: Tomorrow is the last popcorn Day. Bring a toonie ($2) for each bag of popcorn you wish to purchase.
FRIDAY: June 22: This Friday is for PM kindergarten students
SPORTS DAY: June 25: Afternoon kindergarten students will be participating in Sports Day on Monday afternoon between 1:00pm and 2:15pm. If AM students wish to participate they are welcome to come but need to be with an adult. Please dress for the weather. Sunscreen, hat and a water bottle are highly recommended if warm and sunny.
REPORT CARDS: Report Cards go home next week. For PM students it will be on Tuesday. AM students will get them on Wednesday. (Remember that Wednesday is a half day (AM students only). If your child will not be here on those days please give the office a self-addressed envelope with postage so that we can mail you the Report Card.
***Please send a plastic bag with your child on Monday so that we can send home student work.***
BUTTERFLIES: Our class has been taking care of catterpillars since the middle of May. We observed as they ate and ate, grew and grew, and turned into a chrysalis. We had a couple butterflies on Thursday and by Monday they had all emerged from their slumber. Today we released them. I suggest you ask your child what two things butterflies need to do, and what they need in their environment.
